Memorial Day

One Day Off

Today is the day before a memorial day and I went to the Hancock Fabric Sale. I brought several patterns, Butterick4790-Retro 1952. I am looking forward to working on this one. I also brought Butterick B5211, B4461, B4751, B3860B5225 all for 88cents each. I also brought 3 1/2 red fabric poplin, 1 1/2yards of red gingham and 2 yards of pink gingham. I am excited because I feel my mojo coming back.
I am going to wash this fabric and dry it tonight and I might cut tomorrow.
I am so-o-o-o excited.

One month later

It has been about a month since I have started this blog and I am feeling like I have made a huge mistake. I did not realize that I have to make time for this blog each day for people to listen to me. I have brought 5 patterns in the last month along with about 10 yards of fabric. I have not sewn anything yet. I need to find some inspiration somewhere. I really like looking at sewing blogs and the interesting creations others make. I do not find inspiration in their sewing though. I am not making any progress in my sewing stylish. I read about sewing and think about sewing each and everyday, but I have a block. I need to get over this block. Any ideas?

First Day

This is my first posting to the blog about my sewing days. I am at home with a sick child today. I had planned to get started sewing today, but I decided that I would start this blog instead. I am looking forward to talking about sewing with other sewers who are making fashion garments and wearing them proudly. I read many sewing postings at other sites, but sometimes I feel that they are out of my realm. Most of the contributors are very professional and seem to be inspiring others, but I think that they are intimidating those of us that are not as professional. I find that this is stifling my creativity. I am not blaming anyone I just want to talk with other sewers that are not as professional.
